Introducing HSF Briefs

As part of our mandate to facilitate and stimulate dialogue on matters relating to our liberal constitutional democracy, the Helen Suzman Foundation is embarking on a project to research and publish a series of Briefs.

These Briefs will focus on matters relating to our core values: Social Justice, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law. They will cover topics from Health, Education and Youth to Governance and Accountability and the Delivery of Justice.

We know that there is a lot out there to read. In this project we endeavour to provide important information on subjects that matter to us as South Africans. Some of these Briefs will tell the stories that aren’t being told; some will compile information; others will help connect the dots where an overload of information has become overwhelming.

We want to provide fresh and interesting insights, and information to help hold decision-makers and government accountable.
