The Helen Suzman Foundation Opposes Jacob Zuma’s Rescission Application in the Constitutional Court

On 12 July 2021, The Constitutional Court Heard Former President, Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma’s Application To Have His Conviction And Sentencing To 15 Months Imprisonment For Contempt Of Court Rescinded. The Helen Suzman Foundation And The State Capture Commission Were Cited As Respondents In The Rescission Application And Opposed It.

On 2 July 2021, Jacob Zuma applied to the Constitutional Court to have his conviction and sentencing to 15 months imprisonment for contempt of court rescinded. The Helen Suzman Foundation, with the State Capture Commission were cited as respondents by Mr Zuma. Both opposed Mr Zuma’s application. The matter was heard on 12 July 2021 and the full hearing can be viewed here.
