We believe that this document is by far the best thing the government has published on growth for a very long time.  We are particularly encouraged by an emphasis on urgently needed action on socially important issues, such as early childhood education, support for youth employment through apprenticeship programmes, and expanding integrated public transport systems.

We have today submitted our comments (click here to read).  We encourage others to comment as well, especially our sister NGOs and those whose economic interests are affected by the document.  At this stage, it is important for the process to be taken forward.  Issues of detail can be discussed down the line.
